Café Arts – Urban Sustainability and Cultural Heritage: An Indian Perspective

Café Arts is a series of informal discussions about the questions surrounding the arts field today, led by Columbia University’s foremost professors.

Jyoti Hosagrahar speaks at this Café Arts. She is Director of Sustainable Urbanism International at Columbia University, and Bangalore, India. Architect, planner, and historian, she advises on urban development, historic conservation, and sustainability issues in Asia. Her research interests include urban heritage, cultural and environmental sustainability of cities focusing on the intersections of nature, culture, and the built environment, and postcolonial perspectives in design and planning.
