A Digital Multimedia on Tipu Sultan and Srirangapatna.
February 2008 – April 2009
The Summer Palace of Tipu Sultan, the military commander and the de facto ruler of Mysore, is an 18th century structure. After careful research and documentation, SUI Digital reconstructed the Summer Palace of Tipu Sultan. Through a multimedia video the project tells the story about Tipu Sultan in Srirangapatna. The video reconstructs the 18th century Palace in all its glory.
The project documented the summer palace and life of Tipu Sultan in context of development of Bangalore through the history. The Summer palace in Srirangapatna is protected and under Archaeological Survey of India. The wooden palace was covered with exquisite murals most of which have been lost due to lack of preservations and being painted over several times in the past.
